About Us

Institute of SeaTurtle Conservation (ISC)

The Institute of SeaTurtle Conservation (ISC) is a dedicated centre committed to protecting, studying, and restoring endangered sea turtle populations, with a primary focus on the ecologically rich Pulicat region. Established under the Research and Education for Environmental Foundation (REEF), ISC integrates scientific research, field conservation, community engagement, and sustainable coastal practices to safeguard these ancient marine species.

At ISC, we work year-round to monitor nesting beaches, rescue and rehabilitate injured turtles, support hatcheries, and reduce human-induced threats through education and participatory conservation. Our initiatives align with global conservation standards and contribute to national and international biodiversity goals.

By collaborating with coastal communities, academic institutions, government bodies, and international partners, ISC serves as a hub for impactful conservation, training, and environmental leadership. Through workshops, internships, research programs, and youth-driven activities, we inspire collective action to protect marine ecosystems for future generations.

ISC stands as a symbol of commitment, science, and sustainability working every day to ensure a thriving future for sea turtles and the coastal habitats they depend on.
